“All you need to do is look at what Thatcher did with hooligans,” Giovanni Malago told reporters. “Full stop. That’s what we need to do.
“We need to revisit the way football is run and the roles of the federation, the law and the forces.
“It is embarrassing what happens in stadiums. Personally, from day one of my presidency, I said that there were things in football that just did not work, even though many would have said the opposite.”
