Genoa have announced Nikola Maksimovic has suffered a second-degree thigh injury and is uncertain for the match against Sassuolo after the international break.
The defender was subjected to instrumental tests and the club has confirmed he has suffered a second-degree lesion in the thigh.
The Serbian thus joins Biraschi, Criscito, Bani and Vanheusden on the treatment table and they are all in doubt ahead of the visit from the Neroverdi on October 17.
Genoa are without a win in their last four games and have picked up five points from seven Serie A games this term, leaving them 16th in Serie A.
Maksimovic arrived as a free agent this summer and the 29-year-old has played five Serie A games since joining the Grifone.
