“We know this is an important game for us after we got it wrong against AZ Alkmaar,” Maksimovic told Sky Sport Italia.
“Real are top of the Spanish Liga, they have an excellent front line with many young talents, plus of course an experienced figure like David Silva.”
Gennaro Gattuso has rotated the squad for this trip to Spain, with a new role for Stanislav Lobotka.
“The coach has always said we have a large squad to choose from and he believes in all of us. Playing every three days, rotation is only normal. Whoever steps on to the pitch will give their best to get a result.
“I feel great and I am always ready when called upon.”
