Roma and Arsenal haven’t yet reached an agreement over the transfer of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who has agreed personal terms with the Giallorossi.
José Mourinho is on the lookout for reinforcements in January and the 24-year-old is one of the main targets for the Giallorossi.
The versatile Arsenal man can play in defence and midfield and has already reached an agreement with the Serie A side.
Talks between the two clubs are ongoing, but Roma and Arsenal have yet not reached an agreement.
According to Calciomercato.com, Roma have offered less than €1m for the player’s six-month loan until the end of the season and an option to buy for €10m.
Arsenal want €1m for Maitland-Niles’ loan and an obligation to buy for €20m.
The two clubs are also discussing the number of appearances necessary to make Maitland-Niles’ move permanent in June but are reportedly nowhere close to reaching an agreement.
According to the report, the Giallorossi are keen to sign the Englishman but have also identified Almamy Touré of Eintracht Frankfurt as a possible alternative.
