According to the latest reports, Mike Maignan is fully fit to start in goal for Milan against Verona after his injury in the Europa League.

It kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 GMT at the Stadio Bentegodi.

Maignan sustained a knock during Thursday evening’s 3-1 Europa League victory away to Slavia Praha and was forced off the field.

Coach Stefano Pioli had reassured it was nothing serious and only a bruise to the knee, as there were no sprains or fractures.

Maignan returned to training today with his teammates and is fully expected to start between the sticks tomorrow.

The only absentee is midfielder Tommaso Pobega, especially as Rafael Leao returns from suspension and is hoping to build on the stunning Europa League goal midweek.

Ismael Bennacer and Tijjani Reijnders should return to the midfield, while Malick Thiaw is likely to start rather than Matteo Gabbia in defence.

Milan (probable): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez; Bennacer, Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud
