Mike Maignan and Olivier Giroud should both be ready to feature when Milan play Nice in a friendly on Saturday.

Maignan has arrived from LOSC Lille to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, who left the club as a free agent and joined Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expired in June.

Giroud was signed from Chelsea after the European Championship and the French duo arrived a bit later due to their involvement in the France squad that reached the last 16 of the competition.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the duo are ready to start pre-season training with Stefano Pioli and should be available to play against Nice this weekend.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper Maignan is expected to be the first choice between the sticks in 2021-22, as he arrives after helped Lille secure the Ligue 1 title with 21 clean sheets in 38 games.

Giroud helped Chelsea win the Champions League last season, scoring six goals in eight games in the competition.
