Atalanta and Roma target Giulio Maggiore doesn’t rule out leaving Spezia this summer. ‘There are moments when you have to make decisions.’
The 23-year-old midfielder was one of the driving forces to help the Aquilotti to safety in Serie A and the Italy U21 international has been linked with moves to Atalanta and Roma in recent months.
Spezia are currently waiting for the right offer and have set a price-tag of €10m for the midfielder, who is not ruling out a switch this summer.
“I have given so much, and there are moments when you have to make decisions,” Maggiore told Tuttosport. “I don’t know what will happen yet.
“But if I leave, I will only be able to thank those who truly believed in me. Regardless of me, Spezia have done well, have settled in the top flight and adapted quickly.
“There’s a coach who always knows how to think about football. You can’t talk to him about anything else, he just talks about football.”
