Atalanta wing-back Joakim Maehle put the icing on the cake for Denmark with a wonderful strike in the 4-0 win over Wales.
The Danes had a definite Italian flavour in Amsterdam, starting with four Serie A players.
Mikkel Damsgaard was decisive with the assist for the opening goal by Kasper Dolberg, who completed his brace in the second half following a dismal Neco Williams clearance.
Maehle made it 3-0 with a fantastic individual effort in the final stages, as he sent the defender to ground, cut back inside and smashed into the near top corner.
There was even a fourth in stoppages, with Martin Braithwaite springing the offside trap on an assist from Parma’s Andreas Cornelius.
Denmark make their way through to the Euro 2020 quarter-finals, a huge achievement especially considering the way their tournament began, with Christian Eriksen collapsing on the pitch against Finland.
"And they've blown Wales away"
You can't fault Denmark's performance today…
