Massimo Maccarone will probably leave Sampdoria in January – but his next destination is still unknown.

The 32-year-old only joined the Marassi outfit in January, yet he doesn’t feature in the club’s first team plans following last season’s relegation to Serie B.

“We’ll look to do all that we can in order to complete a move,” agent Paolo Fabbri told Tutto B on Friday.

“Sampdoria want to put him on the transfer market, the player hasn’t found much room in the team and so we’ll look for a solution that suits everybody.”

The former Middlesbrough, Parma and Siena man has been paired with a switch to Second Division leaders Torino.

“I haven’t been contacted by the Torino officials,” Fabbri added. “I can deny interest, even if I don’t know if they have made any enquiries to Sampdoria.”

Maccarone, capped twice by Italy, is contracted to the Marassi outfit until June 2013.
