Massimo Maccarone’s agent has distanced his client from links with Parma and Novara. “We’re waiting for Siena.”

The former Middlesbrough striker will leave Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”7″>Sampdoria this month and a return to the top flight is expected.

“I can categorically dismiss the Parma and Novara options for now,” agent Paolo Fabbri told Tutto B.

“We are in negotiations with Siena and we are just expecting a final response from them. We’re waiting for the Tuscans right now as they are the priority.”

Maccarone only joined the Marassi outfit this time last year, but he no longer features in their plans following relegation.

The 31-year-old originally moved to Siena in January 2005, initially on loan, and remained with the outfit until his 2010 switch to Palermo.
