Jean-Michel Aulas says that whilst Napoli are yet to return, Lyon are ‘morally committed’ to selling Maxime Gonalons, if a satisfactory offer arrives.

The midfielder saw a move to the Vesuviani break down during January, amid the Ligue 1 outfit’s President, Aulas, upping the asking price.

Whilst Inter are now said to be monitoring the 24-year-old, the club’s patron has indicated that he expects Napoli to come back in, and he has hinted that the door will be open for talks.

“His agent told me that Napoli will return to the position, but from the close of the winter transfer window I have had no more contact with their President,” Aulas began this week to French media.

“I hope to have Gonalons and [fellow transfer target Clement] Grenier in the squad. But, I am committed morally with Gonalons, guaranteeing that he will be sold if a satisfactory offer is to arrive.”
