Olympique Lyonnais are believed to have submitted a bid to Milan for midfielder Rade Krunic according to reports from transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio on Wednesday afternoon.

The Ligue 1 side are believed to have offered the Rossoneri a sum somewhere between €12m-€13m, a major increase from the €7m offer submitted by Galatasaray earlier in the window.

Negotiations are not expected to be particularly straightforward, however, as Stefano Pioli would like to keep Krunic on board as well as the Bosnian having relatively high salary demands.

Pioli has handed Krunic a starting role in both of Milan’s first two games of the 2023-24 Serie A season, performing admirably at the base of the new look midfield at San Siro.

According to previous reports, Lyon sent scouts to Milan’s most recent win over Torino on Saturday to assess Krunic in closer detail.

Krunic currently has two years remaining on his current deal with Milan and has made 127 appearances for the club across all competitions since his arrival from Empoli in 2019.
