Venezia made it clear that Tanner Tessmann is out of their project for this season, so after failed Inter and Fiorentina moves, he is now close to Olympique Lyonnais.

The USMNT midfielder is down to the final year of his contract with the Lagunari, who earned promotion to the top flight via the Serie B play-offs this summer.

A sale was agreed with Inter only to fall apart, then the same happened with Fiorentina, frustrating the Serie A club to the point that they excluded him from the squad.

Tessmann on Lyon radar

According to Actu Foot in France, now Olympique Lyonnais have agreed personal terms with the player and are trying to convince Venezia into a sale.

It is believed he could be signed for under €10m, considering the situation where he is out of their plans.

The player turns 23 next month and has two senior caps for the USMNT squad.

He was purchased from FC Dallas in the summer of 2021 at €3.64m, playing 20 Serie A games and 69 in Serie B.
