Lyanco’s father admits the player wants Real Betis or Flamengo, but Torino ‘would prefer to sell’ rather than accept a loan.

The 24-year-old Brazilian defender is under contract until June 2024, yet is eager to move on and try a new experience, especially as he is not part of new coach Ivan Juric’s plans.

He has been linked with Real Betis all summer without managing to get a deal over the line and time is running out.

“Flamengo would be an excellent alternative to Betis, you just have to see how the other Brazilians who were in Europe have done there, like Gabigol, Gerson and Pedro,” Marcelo Vonjovic told Yahoo Esportes.

“The Brazilian club has asked for him on loan, but Torino would prefer to sell.”

Lyanco’s father also acts as his agent and was asked what had held up the Betis transfer.

“They are thinking about buying him, but the Financial Fair Play rules in Spain have become an obstacle and the club even needs to go to court in order to have the right to sign new players.”
