Romelu Lukaku’s future at Roma remains up in the air as the Belgian striker keeps waiting for a meeting between the Giallorossi and Chelsea before making a final decision on his future at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lukaku is on loan at Roma until the end of the season, but the Giallorossi don’t have an option to make his move permanent in June.

Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto provided the latest updates on the striker’s transfer through Caught Offside’s Daily Briefing saying that Roma and Chelsea will sit down before the end of the season to discuss the Belgium international’s future.

Moretto added that ‘in terms of concrete offers or talks, there is not much right now for the Roma loanee who is expected to be available on Thursday when the Giallorossi meet Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of the Europa League semifinals.

Lukaku is waiting to see his options and Chelsea’s asking price for a permanent transfer.

Previous reports in Italy said the Blues would demand €42m for the ex-Inter star in the 2024 summer transfer window.
