Lukaku to meet Chelsea boss Tuchel: the possible scenarios

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is expected to meet his boss Thomas Tuchel today and Sky Sport Italia looks at the possible scenarios after today’s summit.

The Belgian striker apologised to Inter fans for the way he left, saying that he hopes to play for the Nerazzurri again ‘not at the end of his career.’

Fair to say his teammates and Tuchel were not impressed by his interview as the former Inter star was left out of yesterday’s key Premier League clash against Liverpool.

After the match, Tuchel said he would meet Lukaku today to discuss his future at the club.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Blues and the striker will try to reach some sort of agreement, avoiding a rupture in their relationship.

Lukaku can’t afford to spend the entire season on the sidelines and the Blues can’t waste one of the biggest investments of the last few years.

The 28-year-old returned to Stamford Bridge in a €115m deal in the summer but has only scored seven goals in 18 appearances this term.

Inter are monitoring the situation but Lukaku’s return to San Siro in January appears unlikely.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported yesterday that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham could try to sign Lukaku at the end of the season, dropping Fiorentina‘s Dusan Vlahovic.
