Sky Sport Italia reports that Romelu Lukaku could land in Italy next week to undergo his medical with Inter.

The Belgium international is set to return to the Stadio Meazza on an €8m loan until 2023. He had completed a €113m move to Chelsea less than a year ago.

Sky Sport Italia reports that the 29-year-old could be in Italy next week to undergo his medical with the Nerazzurri. According to the report, he’ll give up €3.5m-4m. net to return to the Stadio Meazza after barely 11 months. According to Il Corriere della Sera, he’ll earn €8.5m, while he was on a €12m-a-year deal at Chelsea.

Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 appearances with the Nerazzurri during his two-year spell under Antonio Conte but only managed 15 goals in 44 appearances at Stamford Bridge last season.

He was not on good terms with Thomas Tuchel, while Inter boss Simone Inzaghi is looking forward to coaching him next season.

The Italian tactician has told some of his closest friends that Lukaku is the best striker he’s ever worked with in his career. Inzaghi coached Lukaku for barely a week before last summer’s move to Chelsea.
