Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku gave the Red Devils an early lead against Russia and ran to the camera to deliver a message to Inter teammate Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen collapsed in the final minutes of the first half of the match between Denmark and Finland in Group B, and his Nerazzurri teammate sent a message to his club teammate when he scored the opener against Russia.
The match between Denmark and Finland was resumed as Eriksen reportedly asked his teammates to complete the game from the hospital bed.
But the world of football embraced the Dane and his teammates from Inter have sent many messages on social media.
Lukaku scored after 10 minutes against Russia and immediately headed for the camera to send a message to Eriksen.
Lukaku shouted: “Chris, Chris… I love you!”
