Chelsea are working to convince Inter of selling Romelu Lukaku and La Gazzetta dello Sport reports a deal can be closed this weekend.

The Blues are back for Lukaku, who first joined the Blues in 2011 from Anderlecht, and have tried to convince the Nerazzurri with an offer worth €105m plus Marcos Alonso.

Sky Sport Italia reports the Beneamata expect to receive a new offer in the coming days, with the Londoners preparing a new bid worth €120-130m for the 28-year-old.

Chelsea prepare decisive bid for Lukaku

Lukaku joined Inter in August 2019 and has since scored 64 times in 95 competitive games, helping Antonio Conte’s men win their first Scudetto since 2011.

The coach left the club when he realised Inter were planning to sell some of the best starts to cut costs at Pinetina, but Achraf Hakimi was reportedly the only big departure expected by the club.

Now, Chelsea’s huge offer could convince the owners to sell another key player in their recent success.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the offer of around €105m plus Marcos Alonso was deemed to low by the club from Viale della Liberazione, but in the next few hours another bid from the Blues could possibly arrive.

The newspaper claims the route seems to have been set for Lukaku and that a deal can be closed already this weekend.

Even if Chelsea are doing all they can to bring Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge, the player has the final word.
