Inter directors seem to be against Romelu Lukaku’s move to Chelsea and according to reports in Italy, they could resign after the summer transfer window.
The Blues are on the verge of welcoming their striker back, who has already informed Inter he wants to move to Stamford Bridge again.
Inter and Chelsea have not agreed the player’s transfer fee yet, but the Serie A giants expect to receive an improved bid by the weekend.
Inter owners Suning are open to selling Lukaku for €130m, but according to multiple reports in Italy, the club’s directors don’t want to see the 28-year-old leave.
La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Corriere della Sera report Beppe Marotta is against the owners’ decision to sell Lukaku and so are Dario Baccin and Piero Ausilio.
Il Corriere dello Sport suggests they are so disappointed they could resign after the summer transfer window.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Marotta and Ausilio hand in their resignation,” wrote the paper’s director Ivan Zazzaroni.
Their contracts expire in June 2022 and although the Zhang family has promised a new deal, Marotta, Ausilio and Baccin haven’t yet put pen to paper on a new agreement.
Another report suggests both Lautaro Martinez and Stefan de Vrij are considering their future at the club.
Tuttosport adds De Vrij’s agent Mino Raiola is offering the defender to Premier League clubs for €40m.
