Romelu Lukaku will be back in training with Inter tomorrow after a month out with a thigh strain, but it remains to be seen if he’ll start against Roma.

The 29-year-old Belgium international sustained the injury in training just before the 3-1 win over Cremonese on August 30.

He has made only three appearances this season, scoring one goal and contributing one assist, all of them in Serie A.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku had more tests yesterday on the left flexor and his recovery is on track.

He is expected to return to training with his Inter teammates tomorrow, but with the World Cup on the horizon and fears of a relapse, it is not yet clear whether Simone Inzaghi will start him in this Saturday’s Serie A showdown with Roma.

Inter certainly missed the striker, on loan from Chelsea, losing to both Milan and Udinese during his absence.

They are already without Marcelo Brozovic for a month after the midfielder suffered a thigh strain during international duty with Croatia.
