Romelu Lukaku has broken his silence following reports that he’s tried to apologise to Inter for his secret negotiations with Juventus.

Reports emerged recently that the 30-year-old Belgian striker had been in contact with the Bianconeri regarding a possible deal, pushing the Nerazzurri to completely give up on their efforts to sign him this summer.

The frontpage story of Gazzetta dello Sport today claimed that he contacted Inter and his former teammates to ask for forgiveness, seemingly in an effort to try and resolve the situation.

Writing on his Instagram story, Lukaku posted a cryptic message, seemingly referencing that Gazzetta story, commenting: “When that hate don’t work, they start telling lies.”

The 30-year-old Belgian striker now appears to be in a state of limbo. He is not part of the project at Chelsea, and Juventus cannot complete a deal for him unless they sell Dusan Vlahovic in the coming weeks. In the background, the interest from Saudi Arabia is still alive.

  1. So bad for inter, lukako made a mistake but can be forgiven and reintegrated..they both need each other..only one proven goal scorer in inter and none of their current strikers have a history of performance in big games..shame to seria a .
