Romelu Lukaku insists he is happy at Inter and suggests the Nerazzurri can still win without Antonio Conte.

The Belgian striker replied to questions from fans on Twitter and confirmed he is not looking for an escape route from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

One of the questions came from former England international Trevor Sinclair, who also played for Manchester City during his career.

The 48-year-old asked if Lukaku would fancy moving to City, but the striker replied firmly: “I am happy at Inter.”

His agent Federico Pastorello confirmed last month Lukaku doesn’t want to leave the Stadio Meazza despite the club’s plans to sell one of their stars to keep the books balanced.

Antonio Conte left the Nerazzurri after winning their first Scudetto in 11 years due to disagreements over the club’s plans for the future.

Conte played a key role in convincing Lukaku to move to Inter from Manchester United in 2018, but the Belgian striker believes the Serie A giants can win without the former Chelsea boss.

Simone Inzaghi replaced Conte at the helm, and Lukaku suggested the squad is competitive enough to win more pieces of silverware in the future.
