Lukaku signs Roma contract – report

According to recent reports from Fabrizio Romano, Romelu Lukaku has now signed his contract with Roma and is now just awaiting an official announcement before being unveiled as a new Giallorossi player.

Lukaku will join Roma on loan from Chelsea for a fee of €5m, agreeing to take a significant pay cut in order to help push the move through.

The Belgian flew into Rome on Tuesday afternoon in a private jet owned and piloted by Roma President Dan Friedkin.

Stepping out from the airliner, Lukaku was greeted by an enormous crowd of over 5,000 supporters who had gathered to welcome him back to Italy.

Later on Tuesday night, Lukaku was taken to Villa Stuart to undergo his customary medical checks, which were completed later that evening.

On Wednesday morning it was revealed that Lukaku will once again wear the No. 90 on the back of his shirt, the same number he wore during his second spell with Inter last season.

Now, the last remaining piece in the jigsaw is for Roma to officially announce Lukaku’s signing.
