Romelu Lukaku agreed to the terms of a contract with Juventus just a day before posting a love letter to Inter following their Champions League final loss, Gianluca Di Marzio details.

The Nerazzurri decided to give up on the Belgian striker last month after they discovered his secret talks with the Bianconeri, a situation that infuriated both the management and the squad.

Writing in Corriere della Sera via FcInter1908, Di Marzio highlighted how Lukaku agreed a deal with Juventus on June 12, just two days after Inter’s Champions League final loss to Manchester City.

Furthermore, just a day later the Belgian striker posted a message to the Inter fans, thanking them for their support and touching on “his love for this beautiful club”.

Corriere dello Sport reports that multiple phone calls have now taken place between Lukaku and Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri in recent weeks, and a deal could be completed next week.

Chelsea are expected to increase their offer to the Bianconeri and a swap deal could be completed, with Dusan Vlahovic heading to London for Lukaku and around €40m.

  1. Nice to get Thuram who is younger by age but wiser in the head. Lets hope Lika gets the same reception he did last time in Turin.
