La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Romelu Lukaku has already told new Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino that he has no intention of returning in the summer, wanting to stay with Inter.
The Belgian striker joined the Blues from the Nerazzurri in August 2021 in a deal worth around €113m, but struggled to find his footing in West London and returned to Lombardy after a single season in the Premier League.
Lukaku came back to Inter on a loan deal with no permanence clause attached. Things initially started slowly, with a hamstring injury frustrating his return, but in recent months he’s started to show his best again, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in his last seven Serie A games.
