Reports in Italy claim that Romelu Lukaku’s Napoli transfer is not in doubt even if negotiations between the club and the striker are stalling over image rights.

Napoli have only a few days left to complete the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea after reaching an agreement with the Blues over the weekend.

Sport Mediaset, Calciomercato.com and Sky Sport Italia claim that the deal will be completed soon, but the Partenopei lawyers are currently in talks with Lukaku’s representatives over image rights.

It’s a recurrent issue when Napoli complete new signings as the Serie A side is one of the few clubs in Europe holding their players’ image rights.

Lukaku is still expected to join Napoli even if Victor Osimhen’s future at the Stadio Maradona remains uncertain.

The Nigerian striker was expected to leave this summer, but Napoli have only received an offer from Al-Ahli and the striker’s agent has clarified that his client wants to continue playing in Europe.
