Romelu Lukaku dedicated Belgium’s victory to Christian Eriksen: ‘It was difficult to play, my mind was with him.’

Lukaku scored twice in the Red Devils’ 3-0 win over Russia last night.

The Inter star dedicated the victory to his teammate Christian Eriksen who had collapsed during Denmark vs. Finland in the afternoon match requiring urgent CPR on the pitch.

Lukaku scored and sent a message to Eriksen: ‘Chris, I love you!’

Eriksen was eventually  ‘transferred to hospital and stabilised.’

“I am really happy with the win, but for me it was difficult to play, my mind was with my teammate Christian Eriksen. I hope he is healthy and I dedicate this win to him,” Lukaku said in a post-match press conference with UEFA.

“I cried a lot, I was scared obviously, we lived strong moments together in four years and a half, I’ve spent more time with him than with my family, my thoughts are with him, his two kids and his family.”
