Romelu Lukaku confirms he is ‘staying at Inter’ and has ‘already spoken to the new coach,’ ending speculation of a Premier League move.

The striker had been linked with a possible return to the Premier League for Chelsea or Manchester City.

However, he just had the best campaign of his career when helping Inter win the Serie A title and has no intention of moving on.

“I am staying at Inter,” Lukaku told VTM this evening.

“I’ve already spoken to the man who will become our new coach. Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet… but it was a very positive conversation.”

Simone Inzaghi will be made official tomorrow as the replacement for Antonio Conte, but Inter haven’t announced that yet.

Conte terminated his contract by mutual consent just days after celebrating the Scudetto victory.

“The challenge is to win again. I feel good at Inter, I finally won some silverware. I really enjoyed it, but I want to do that again, this time with a packed San Siro.”
