Inter star Romelu Lukaku has revealed his great admiration for Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of the derby this weekend.

Ibrahimovic and the Belgium international played together for Manchester United before the Swede moved to the MLS and LA Galaxy.

The former Sweden international returned to Milan this winter and in his first Derby della Madonnina since the comeback, he will face an old friend.

Lukaku has scored 16 goals in 22 games for Inter this campaign, but he revealed that Zlatan “always” gave him “advice” during their time together at Old Trafford. 

“Ibra is a champion, I respect him. In Manchester I could train every day with him, that was the most beautiful thing for me,” Lukaku told Tiki Taka. “It will be nice to play against him He is a great champion and professional.

“For me it’s normal that he can do those things at the age of 38. He works a lot; he always gave me advice when we played together in Manchester. He’s up there with Ronaldo.”
