Romelu Lukaku couldn’t stop laughing when asked if he wants to remain at Roma for a long time, making his loan move from Chelsea permanent. Watch the video.
The Belgian striker erupted in laughter on Thursday evening when Sky Sport Italia asked if he wants to remain at Roma ‘for a long time.’
“I don’t want to cause controversy in England. I have to be intelligent about this,” Lukaku replied laughing.
The 30-year-old referred to an explosive interview he had released in December 2021, months after joining Chelsea from Inter.
Lukaku admitted he regretted leaving the Nerazzurri and wanted to return to the Stadio Meazza one day.
That interview was practically the end of his time at Chelsea and Lukaku returned to Inter on loan the following summer.

Lukaku is on loan at Roma, but the Giallorossi do not have an option to make his move permanent and Chelsea want €42m to sell the Belgian permanently at the end of the season.
