Romelu Lukaku has not been called up for Chelsea’s match against Liverpool following his recent controversial interview.

The 28-year-old Belgian striker recently told Sky Sports that he is unhappy with the situation following his €115m move from Inter in the summer, and he explicitly expressed his affection and desire to return to the Nerazzurri one day in the future.

As reported by Calciomercato, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has decided to punish Lukaku by not calling him up for the Blues’ Premier League clash against Liverpool this evening, leaving him at home for the key match.

Reports in England are already suggesting that the Belgian forward could leave Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window, with rumours linking him to a possible move to Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.

The arrival of Lukaku in North London would be linked to the possible sale of Harry Kane, but for now these are only just rumours, with nothing concrete taking place yet.

  1. It won’t faze the turncoat. He will use this along with the watered down milk story and his love for his mum to qualify another walkout.

  2. I feel sorry for big Rom. That interview was a disaster even if he apologized and mentioned how he loves Inter. He should hire a PR manager to handle material for his interview in the future.

I’m disappointed he left Inter, but kinda understand his decision. Still hope he can achieve success in whatever club he will play in the future (unless when they compete against Inter of course)
