Lukaku and Dybala look to stay with Roma during international break

Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala are both planning to turn down their call-ups to their respective national teams in order to stay with Roma, Sky Sports Italia notes.

The 30-year-old Belgian forward officially put pen to paper on his contract with the Giallorossi today, arriving on a €5.8m loan deal with no buy option from Chelsea. He agreed to drop his wages to €7.5m net in order to push through the move.

Lukaku is a key addition to Jose Mourinho’s squad following the injury suffered by Tammy Abraham and the hope is that investing in him will help drive them back to the Champions League, something that will have important ramifications for the future of the project in the Italian capital.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Lukaku and Dybala are both looking to stay with Roma during the international break, planning to reject call-ups to their respective national teams.

The former is hoping to continue preparations in Trigoria in order to speed up his integration into the squad, whilst the latter is struggle with a muscle issue following the loss to Hellas Verona.
