Romelu Lukaku’s agent has sent out a message amid the Chelsea speculation and protests against Inter. ‘You’ll hear our reasons soon, whatever happens.’

The negotiations continue, with reports the Nerazzurri are prepared to accept €130m in cash.

It is also suggested that Lukaku has asked Inter to leave for a return to one of his first clubs, fuelling irritation from the fans.

Some aimed abuse at Pastorello on Instagram and one apologised to the representative for the insults.

“Thank you for your words,” he wrote in response.

“You will be able to hear our reasons soon, whatever happens in the end.”

La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia claim this evening that Chelsea will make another bid worth €120m in cash plus a player, probably not Marcos Alonso, with a telephone conversation set for tomorrow.

The pressure is building meanwhile on Inter President Steven Zhang to reject all proposals and keep the top scorer who led them to the Scudetto.

  1. As much as I hate Inter this is indicative of the problems in European football apart from in England. The club’s in the PL have so much financial power they’ve inadvertently destroyed the rest of Europe’s big clubs by making them spend over their means to keep up and be competitive in the Champs League. All English finals are going to be more common apart from PSG. And UEFA are the friends of football and it’s fans!!

  2. @G Absolutely agree. What’s worse is that Serie A clubs allow PL teams to bully team into selling better quality players for a fraction of their worth, if you base their value on how much is spent on mediocre PL players. If Grealish is worth 120m then Lukaku should be over 150m.
