He travelled to Munich for the surgery and he sent a message to the fans after the successful intervention.

“As many of you know, today I underwent surgery on my right ankle,” he wrote on social media. “You showered me with messages of affection and you made me feel part of a big family!
“I want to reassure you that the operation was necessary and it went well. I feel good and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch.
“I’ll be back soon, I promise.”
The 23-year-old centre-back has played through the problems this term and has appeared in 10 Serie A games with the Aquile.
