According to Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain coach told Italy international Marco Verratti he was ‘the prototype of the kind of player I really hate.’

It was no secret that the rapport between them was the main driving force behind Verratti’s exit this summer after more than a decade at the club.

Verratti was never called up this season and eventually completed the €45m transfer to Qatar Stars League club Al-Arabi on September 13.

However, the sheer extent of their animosity is only just starting to emerge in a shock report from Le Parisien.

It claims Luis Enrique was very open in his disdain for the Italy star, who will turn 31 next month.

“You are the prototype of the kind of player I really hate,” the coach is reported to have said to Verratti’s face.

It seems that the playing style was not the only issue behind the dislike, but Luis Enrique was also referring to his lifestyle choices.

  1. I also do not like verratti’s playing style, he does not shoot from distance to get goals ,and if you see him try it’s like 1 attempt in 9 games .he also must be more energetic like gavi .
