It earned him a recall for Spain and repeated links with a return to La Liga for Sevilla, where he started his career.
“Luis Alberto is among the best players in Serie A,” agent Alvaro Torres told Estadio Deportivo.

“He is totally in sync with Lazio and both parties want to extend his current contract. It’s true that Sevilla showed interest in him over the last couple of transfer sessions and Monchi really admires Luis Alberto, but that interest never materialised into a firm offer.
“We are concentrated only on a renewal with Lazio at the moment and we’ll see if it goes well.”
