Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio beat Triestina 5-2 in this evening’s friendly test, with Luis Alberto scoring one and assisting two.

The first half was particularly impressive, as the Aquile were 4-0 up by the break at their Auronzo di Cadore training camp.

Luis Alberto opened the scoring with an angled drive, followed by Vedat Muriqi’s header on a Senad Lulic free kick.

Spain international Luis Alberto has seemingly put his summer irritation behind him, having initially refused to attend pre-season training.

He provided two assists for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Stefan Radu.

There were changes in the second half and Jony’s cross-shot was accidentally flicked in by Volta for the fifth goal.

Serie C side Triestina, who lost 1-0 to Roma earlier this week, got two consolation goals late on with a pair of Alessio Di Massimo strikes, including one scorcher from distance.

These are early days, but Lazio were already adapting well to Sarri’s 4-3-3 formation, a big change from five years of Simone Inzaghi and 3-5-2.

Lazio: Strakosha; Marusic (Lazzari 46), Luiz Felipe (Vavro 54), Radu (Patric 46), Hysaj (Kamenovic 59); Milinkovic-Savic (Akpa Akpro 59), Leiva (Escalante 59), Luis Alberto (Cataldi 46); Felipe Anderson (Romero 59), Muriqi (Caicedo 46), Moro (Jony 54)
