“I do what I can for the team. We worked so hard to lift this trophy, everyone said it was impossible, yet we won,” grinned the midfielder on Lazio Style Channel.
This is Lazio's second Italian Supercup in three seasons, as they also beat Juventus in 2017.
“We have to continue along this path. The fans need to stay behind us, until death us do part! The time will come when the team needs their support, they have to be our 12th man out there.
“Nobody expected us to win eight Serie A games in a row and then beat Juventus here tonight too. We are a great team, one objective has been achieved, the Cup is coming home with us. We’ve got to keep believing.”
