Luis Alberto scored a hat-trick and seemed to be really enjoying Maurizio Sarri’s tactics as Lazio beat a local side 11-0, including a Felipe Anderson strike.

The Spain international had been a no-show at pre-season training and was fined by the club, but now that he is working with the new coach, it seems that Sarri’s approach is winning him over.

Luis Alberto bagged three goals in this evening’s friendly win over amateur club Fiori Barp Mas, including a wonderful lob into the far top corner.

He combined well with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, particularly when the Serbian pulled back for Alberto’s second, and the midfielders in general were far more attack-minded than under predecessor Simone Inzaghi.

New signing Felipe Anderson had opened the scoring, while Elseid Hysaj won back possession to drill in a scorcher from a tricky angle.

Felipe Caicedo found the net twice, as well as seeing a penalty saved, then Vedat Muriqi also scored a brace.

Adam Marusic and Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro rounded out the 11-0 scoreline.
