According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Luis Alberto is frustrated at Lazio and La Liga side Sevilla remain interested in the Spaniard.

The 30-year-old has featured in every Lazio match so far, but hardly as a starter in Serie A.

Luis Alberto only made three appearances as a starter in league games, being introduced as a substitute in the second half in the remaining seven.

He started four Europa League games from four, playing for 90 minutes twice. However, that’s still not enough for the former Liverpool midfielder, who wants to be more involved in league matches.

He feels he is not a regular starter under Maurizio Sarri, so, according to Gazzetta, he will likely leave the club at the end of the season.

Sevilla are among the clubs interested in the 30-year-old, while top Serie A clubs seem to be looking elsewhere, except, perhaps, Milan.

Luis Alberto was a Rossoneri target in 2021 and could be an option at the end of the season.

Juventus are said to be interested in his teammate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, while Simone Inzaghi at Inter can rely on Hakan Calhanoglu, Marcelo Brozovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

  1. La gazzeta is typical yellow press about Lazio. They are in war against us, trying to cause problems whenever possible. False news all the time. We move on.
