Matteo Politano is reportedly being targeted by Saudi side Al-Shabab, who have prepared a rich offer, but the winger is waiting for a new deal with Napoli.

The 30-year-old Italian forward mostly featured as a rotation option under Luciano Spalletti in last season’s Scudetto-winning campaign, but this term he’s grown into an important feature in the Campania capital, directly contributing to 11 goals across 24 matches.

Despite Napoli’s struggles this season, Politano has emerged as one of the few bright spots and has already seen over 1500 minutes of action. With 18 months left on his contract, his future at the club has started to become an important talking point.

As reported by Giovanni Annunziata of Calciomercato.com, Saudi side Al-Shabab have been following Politano for a number of weeks now and have already contacted his entourage to start exploring a possible move. A lucrative contract has been prepared for the 30-year-old.

The Italian winger is happy with Napoli and would prefer to sign a new long-term contract, so talks with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis are expected to kick off in the coming weeks.
