Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva says he has not had any contact from Inter regarding a move to San Siro.

Recent reports in the English Press have linked the Brazilian midfielder with a move away from Anfield after he has struggled to win back his place in the Reds first team following injury.

However, when contacted by FcInterNews.it, the player stated he has heard nothing from the Nerazzurri and that he remains committed to the Merseyside club.

“I can say that at the moment I have received no offers,” Lucas said. “Liverpool have never contacted me regarding this possibility.

“So I can’t say there is a chance of me going to Inter, because I am under contract at Liverpool. Serie A definitely is a great League though.”

The 27-year-old was also asked whether he would ever like to play with compatriot and friend Hernanes.

“Us playing together one day? I have known Hernanes for a long time and we have already played together many times at international level.

“He is a fantastic player and a wonderful person.”
