Parma captain Alessandro Lucarelli has faith in the new owners, but admits players “felt abandoned.”
The Ducali are sliding towards Serie B, though unless President Giampietro Manenti can resolve their huge debts by Monday, the club could go bankrupt.
“Manenti will do everything possible to pay some wages. We’ll wait and have faith in him,” Lucarelli told reporters after a 1-0 defeat to Chievo.

Nobody at the Stadio Tardini has been paid since July 2014, while Tommaso Ghirardi sold the club to Rezart Taci in December and it moved on to Manenti last week.
“The situation is difficult to deal with in every way. We play well and lose, we play badly and lose. We have to end the season in a dignified manner and hope the club situation can be sorted out.
“We are alright to wait until June for our wages, as long as they are reliable. Where is the Lega Serie A or the FIGC? We feel abandoned.”
The Parma fans held up banners criticising everyone behind the scenes, including director general Pietro Leonardi.
“He made a mistake, but he is trying to make up for it, whereas the others just ran away,” added Lucarelli.
