Napoli’s injury problems are intensifying, as Hirving Lozano knocked out a tooth after an accidental collision with Leicester City player Wilfred Ndidi.
The incident occurred when Lozano was running, tripped and fell face-first into the opposition player’s thigh.
It immediately seemed to be a worry, as Lozano was bleeding from the mouth and Sky Sport Italia report he knocked out a tooth, or at least broke one.
He required a stretcher to be removed from the field and was substituted by Kevin Malcuit, then taken straight to the local hospital for X-Rays on a suspected broken nose.
Lozano is extremely unlucky, because he already sustained a horrible facial injury while playing for Mexico in July.
Mexican FA: ‘Lozano underwent surgery, out for four to six weeks’
During the Trinidad and Tobago Gold Cup match, he collided with the goalkeeper’s knee and was left with a massive gash over his eye.
He was ruled out for six weeks and required several stitches, confessing he had feared for his eyesight and even life during the collision.
