Reports in Mexico suggest Hirving Lozano is looking for a Premier League move after Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso accused him of ‘ruining a training session.’

The Partenopei play Juventus for the Coppa Italia Final tomorrow evening, but it’s very unlikely Lozano will feature, and he might even be left off the bench.

That’s because he was sent home early from training for not putting enough effort in.

“Anyone who is tired, who doesn’t feel like it, who isn’t sharp mentally, as far as I am concerned, he can just stay in the locker room and miss a day of training,” Gattuso told RAI Sport when asked about the incident.

“Everyone knows that if they step on to the field with me, they have to go at full speed. I won’t allow anyone to ruin a training session.”

Now ClaroSports confirm Lozano has asked agent Mino Raiola to find him a new club, just a year into his deeply disappointing Napoli experience.

The same source notes only a Premier League side can afford his €38m transfer fee and weighty salary.

It was Carlo Ancelotti who wanted ‘Chucky’ at Napoli, so a reunion at Everton would be more than plausible, although Manchester United have also been linked with the Mexico international who turns 25 next month.

Lozano scored three goals and provided two assists in 23 competitive games for Napoli since his €38m move from PSV Eindhoven last summer.
