Napoli announced Hirving Lozano’s tests showed ‘negative results’, so the winger would be reassessed over the next few days while six players continued to train apart from the team.
Lozano was replaced after an accidental collision with Leicester City player Wilfred Ndidi last night.
Napoli announced that the Mexico winger underwent medical examinations today, which showed negative results.
“The players will be assessed over the coming days,” an official statement read.
Luciano Spalletti is still dealing with an injury crisis with six players out of action.
Fabian Ruiz, Kalidou Koulibaly, Lorenzo Insigne, Victor Osimhen, Zambo Anguissa and Stanislav Lobotka trained apart from the group today.
Napoli beat Leicester City last night, but have only collected one point in the last two Serie A games.
They host Empoli at the Stadio Maradona on Sunday at 17.00 UK time.
