It was reported this morning that officers from Digos, the Italian Special Branch searched the Federcalcio offices as part of an investigation by the Naples public prosecutor’s office.
The Lazio President, who also has a prominent role in the FIGC, has not been charged with any offence.

“I have the utmost confidence in the judiciary,” Lotito is quoted as saying by Mediaset.
“I’m confident that in a short time I will clarify my position and turn my accusers into the accused.
“There is a smear campaign against me designed to hinder the work of restoring football.”
