The latest betting scandal to envelop Italian football is based around Serie D and Lega Pro, the lowest divisions.
There is controversy around Lotito, as Salernitana’s games are under investigation in the Lega Pro campaign.
“I have nothing to say, as I speak with actions and facts,” Lotito told ANSA news agency.

“I have nothing to say, as I speak with actions and facts,” Lotito told ANSA news agency.
“I go forward like a train on the track of work and results. It is evident I am hitting the nail on the head.
“I am not interested in all of these lies, as I answer only to my own conscience.
“Did Salernitana get involved with bribes? Don’t be ridiculous.”
Lotito is a contentious figure and many refer to him as the ‘puppet master’ behind the election of FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio.
“Lotito was elected by the Lega Serie A, not nominated by me,” Tavecchio told Canale 5 this morning.
“When the Federal Council was put together, the Lega requested he become Vice-President, but I opposed that and kept him as a counsellor.
“I have no ‘interference’ from him, but I do recognise Lotito has great managerial capabilities and in fact Lazio are one of the best run clubs.
“He also owns Salernitana, but it’s an urban legend that he’s somehow running the show at Brescia, Bari and other clubs.
“Many call him up to ask for advice on administrative matters. You all know he saved Lazio from a disastrous financial situation.”
