While President Claudio Lotito hails Maurizio Sarri as a coach ‘whose standing is in line with the needs to consolidate and grow,’ Lazio secure first signing Dimitrije Kamenovic.
Sarri was finally announced as the new tactician for the Aquile this afternoon, signing a two-year contract to replace Simone Inzaghi.
President Lotito then released a brief statement on the official club website.
“Lazio chose a coach whose standing is in line with the needs to consolidate and grow, both in Italy and in Europe, the position of protagonist that the Club, its fans and the team deserve to have.”
Meanwhile, Tuttomercatoweb report that Lazio will sign their first player of the 2021-22 season tomorrow.
A medical has been organised for Serbian left-back Kamenovic, who should arrive from FK Cukaricki for €3m.
He turns 21 next month and has six caps for Serbia at Under-21 level.
